the icy river

This river is the packs main resource for water, it has fish, and plenty of water, but we must be careful not to fall into the deeper end, and watch out for predators, it could be a horrible fatality.
   

"Look into the water" I tell solstice "What do you see?"

Flicks her tail softly and walks up to the river and peers into it folding back her ears and sigh gently "I see my reflection and some iced over water." Her voice kind and moves away from the edge slightly and looks up at Zeus. Tilting her head slightly curious why he was having Solstices look into the water.

"what do you think." I ask her. I move closer to her. Brushing slightly against her.

"Uhhhh I have a nose and eyes and fur." I chuckle gently and sigh leaning slightly into your touch. "Uh I'm not sure... The water was really pretty with the ice crystals on it..." Solstice feels her face warm slightly and watches Zeus gently and looks at the ground at her paws.

I put my paws on yours and whisper into your ear. "I see beauty at its best." I nip your ear playfully. My tail begins to wag.

Her tails wags gently and shakes her head and presses her head into his chest being surprised feeling some of the muscle and puts her ears back nervously letting her tail continue to wag. "As long as you see it. I'll believe you though thank you."

I smile. I rest my head on her neck and breathe deeply. "want to come to my secret thicket?" I ask her softly.

Solstice shivers softly and thinks quietly to herself before pulling away and nodding softly "it won't be secret when you show me though." She smiles softly and shivering feeling his breath against her neck. Softly wagging her tail and watching Zeus curiously wondering what he is thinking about.

"this way" I tell her. I walk back into the frozen forest. Heading deeper than anyones ever gone before but me.

Folds her ears back unsure where they are going walking close to Zeus her fur bushing his as they walk feeling nervous and out of place as they walk deep into the forest. Her pressing close to his relaxing her slightly.

I stand atop one of the many falls along the river. I watch on as bears try unsuccessfully to catch the jumping salmon. I walk back into the forest and start toward the elk herd.
