hunting grounds

This is where you hunt, but be careful because there may be predators.

I wander around the hunting grounds, looking for some food. I finally stop and see a rabbit, it's not big but it'll do. I chase after it and eventually pounce and bite down on it's neck.

I see a herd of elk."stop" I whisper to solstice as we reach the beginning of the meadow." We must stay hidden and wait for one to come near."

Lowers her body to the ground hiding and keeping quite watching Zeus admiring his technique listening carefully and scenting for elk. Solstice sees and elk and lowers her head more waiting for Zeus to say when, since she mostly chases to ware out the prey.

I see i need to go around to the other side of the heard for an ambush."when I get to the other side scare them toward me" I say to her disappearing into the forest.

Flicks her tail in agreement following his word she readied her muscles to spring when she knew he would be on the other side of the herd. Growling excitedly under her breath softly panting ready to chase.

I reach the other side. I hunker down in some bushes and wait.

Notices he is set and she flicks her tail ready and releases the tension on her muscles. Solstice springs forth giving off a loud bark to scare the elk to run from her towards Zeus. She focuses on him to see which one she has to chase and help with.

The herd rushes toward me. The bull is the first to reach me. 'oh well, here goes nothin' I think to myself. I launch from hideout and land on the bull, easily knocking it over. I sink my teeth and large talon like claws into its fleshy neck. I feel the life slowly start to fade from its body.

Solstice runs to catch up to where Zeus and the great bull are. Her tail wags happily watching zeus then turning and chasing off the cow elks growling and snapping my jowls around their legs. After they are backed away she turns back waiting for Zeus to kill the bull.

I start dragging the animal back to my resting area. Though it is quite large, it is very easy for me to do so.

Follows watching amazed in how large the kill was her tail moved quickly walking near thinking she would offer help but seeing how simple it was for him and remains silent. Her stomach grumbling softly.

I drop the kill outside the rest area. I howl to the rising sun. It is the deepest most bone chilling victory howl I have ever howled.

She shivers softly and drops her ears at the howl and tilts her muzzle up howling along trying best to match and sound as one wolf. Solstice when out of breath stops and watches Zeus carefully waiting for him to eat first as he was the one to kill the prey.

I start to eat. I eat into its front shoulders trying for the heart.

Watches silently sitting next to the large elk her eyes shift from him to the ground then to the sky watching the sun move slowly into the sky. Solstice's picking up the scent of the fresh kill her tail lashes softly as she waits. Her eyes tending to fall onto Zeus many times.

I rip out the hear and lungs. I eat them quickly and then move aside. I sit and wait.

Solstice stands and walks over lowering her body eatting quickly tearing at the hind leg muscles softly growling while eatting in pleasure wagging her tail. And pulls away when finished licking over her muzzle and turns to Zeus gently and smiles walking up slowly and licks some of the blood off his muzzle.

I turn my head. "Lets go near the pack. See if they have awakened" I say to her and toward the pack.

She nods softly following zeus toward the pack densite letting her ears fall back slightly thinking to herself. Staring straight forward toward the den.

I walk ever so quietly through the hunting grounds. So quietly and slowly its like i'm not even here. I stumble upon some human tracks. I follow them, anticipating a fight.
